Dr Sweeting is the Maternal Metabolic Health Lead in Endocrinology, Central Clinical School, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. She is the Immediate Past-President and Chair of the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society (ADIPS). Internationally, Dr Sweeting is the current ADIPS representative for the International Association of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Groups (IADPSG) and Chair of the GDM Precision Diagnosis working group for the ADA/EASD Precision Diabetes Initiative. She recently completed her NHMRC and ADS Skip Martin early career fellowships following completion of her NHMRC supported PhD in early GDM in 2018. Dr Sweeting was a Co-Investigator for the TOBOGM trial.
