Liz is currently in an expert diabetes dietitian role at the Diabetes Centre, in Christchurch. She has over 10 years experience working in diabetes in both adults, paediatrics and young adults across the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Liz has recently been seconded into a dietitian-led gestational diabetes dietary pathway project at Christchurch women’s’ hospital to help review and develop a telehealth model of care pathway following the move to telehealth following Covid 19 lockdowns. Liz has also led the GDM team to develop an online education programme for our gestational diabetes patients who can access this education online in their own time at home, freeing up clinician time and outpatient appointments. We are currently rolling this programme out across the West Coast of the south island with the hope of increasing coverage and access further across the South Island and New Zealand.
